The Brentwood spans both Williamson and Davidson County.Brentwood has a rich social and architectural history.Brentwood began as a rural community of planters and farmers.The beautiful homes of Brentwood have long been its crowning glory.Brentwood grew and prospered and by the time of the Civil War, the area was one of the richest in the state. The soils were fertile and plantations flourished as was evidenced by the stately homes built.After the Civil War gradually many of the plantation homes were bought and restored.Brentwood is home to a many country music stars and many entertainers. Brentwood and surrounding Williamson County consistently have the highest per capita income in the state. Within Brentwood's 41+ acres there are over 62 residential subdivisions offering almost unlimited amenities, privacy and shopping conveniences.

The main Cool Springs Galleria Mall land was purchased from the Southwestern Company in 1987. At that time the whole area was huge rolling fields. The Southwestern Company is one of the oldest direct sales companies in the US. It is the largest mall in Middle Tennessee with over 1.1 million square feet of shopping space.

Cool Springs is the headquarters or key operation point of many corporations including Nissan Americas, Mars Petcare, AT&T, Healthways, Inc., Comdata Corp., Spheris, Dialogics Communications Corp., Orchid International, Affinion Group, CIGNA, Essex Group, Gabriel Ride Control Products, Verizon, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, MetLife, PRIMUS Financial Services, Provident Music, Tom James Co., Mephisto USA, Naxos of America, the regional headquarters for Home Depot. and Lasko Metal Products to name a few. There are over 150 stores located with the Cool Springs Galleria with many shopping and restaurants surrounding the actual mall.

Cool Springs residential real estate has continued to grow at an above average rate for Tennessee.Cool Springs has quickly become one of the most popular areas in Middle Tennessee. This area covers the entire spectrum of available property types and price ranges. The town includes five major apartment complexes within three miles of the Galleria Mall.
